Terms of service

Last updated: 23 July 2026

Who we are

Flonancial is operated by Flonancial Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Company number: 17090724. Registered office: 104 Finborough Road, London, SW10 9ED. By using flonancial, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

The service

Flonancial provides software to help individuals submit quarterly updates and supported year-end tax returns to HMRC under Making Tax Digital for Income Tax. The service is free to use. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in future with reasonable notice.

Flonancial relies on third-party services to operate, including Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email), Umami (analytics), and HMRC (tax submissions). Where these providers process your personal data on our behalf, they do so under written agreements that meet UK GDPR requirements.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete financial figures when logging quarterly updates or year-end tax-return information
  • Ensuring your submissions to HMRC are correct before submitting
  • Keeping your account credentials secure
  • Understanding your own tax obligations and deadlines
  • Verifying that submitted updates and tax returns have been accepted by HMRC directly through your HMRC online account

Identity and authority

By using flonancial, you confirm that:

  • The National Insurance number you provide is your own
  • The HMRC Government Gateway account you connect is registered in your name and is your own personal account, not anyone else's
  • You have the legal authority to submit Self Assessment quarterly updates and supported year-end tax returns for any business associated with that NINO

Submitting another person's tax information without their authority is a criminal offence under the Fraud Act 2006 and may also breach the Computer Misuse Act 1990. Do not use flonancial on behalf of someone else without explicit written authority.

If you suspect your account or NINO has been used by someone else, contact us immediately at hello@flonancial.co.uk and contact HMRC's online services helpdesk.

Service availability

Flonancial runs on a single hosted server. We aim to keep the service running continuously but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance, hosting outages, or HMRC API outages can cause temporary downtime.

You are responsible for not leaving submissions to the last possible day before HMRC's deadlines. We strongly recommend submitting quarterly updates and year-end tax returns at least 48 hours before the deadline so that any service issue does not put you at risk of penalties.

If flonancial is unavailable when you need to submit, you can use HMRC online services where available or any other HMRC-recognised MTD software that supports your circumstances. Your data on flonancial is not lost; you can resume using us when the service is available.

Not tax advice

Flonancial is a software tool, not a tax advisory service. Nothing within the application or on this website constitutes tax advice. If you are uncertain about your tax obligations, you should consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser.

Acceptable use

You must not use flonancial to:

  • Submit false or fraudulent information to HMRC
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

Intellectual property

All content, design, and code within flonancial is owned by Flonancial Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission.

No warranty

Flonancial is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations, express or implied, about the service, including its accuracy, reliability, completeness, fitness for any particular purpose, or non-infringement. Your use of flonancial is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flonancial Ltd shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including penalties, interest, or charges imposed by HMRC as a result of late, incorrect, or missing submissions.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law.

Termination

You may stop using flonancial at any time. You can request deletion of your account and data by emailing hello@flonancial.co.uk. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service at any time, with or without notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of flonancial after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
